SUCCESSS AT THE ACTT AWARDS !

And the winners were…….

Playhouse Theatre Incorporated had some very good reasons to celebrate at the
Auckland Community Theatre Trust Awards held on March 30th

Our
2012 production of “Oliver” was a big winner on the night by being presented with the award for “Best Musical”.

Dorothy Chisholm (pictured) scored the
“Best Director” award for her work on the popular show and Neil Grant (pictured) brought home the award for “Best Stage Management” for “Oliver”.

Aimee Gray also won the award for “Best Female in a Minor Role” for her portrayal of Louise Bigelow in the 2012 musical “Carousel”.

ACTT judges have quite a demanding role in attending the various performances staged by eight community theatre groups during the previous year and deciding on winners in eighteen different award categories.  Not an easy task!
Comedian Jan Maree acted as Master of Ceremonies for the very entertaining and enjoyable evening.
